10 Scriptures for times of change

It's all uphill today.

My friend — I have been wondering about where you are in your walk with the Lord. Whether you are climbing uphill or walking in a valley low. Whether your heart is being encouraged and edified, or you are walking further away from the Lord bit by bit (and I cannot help but wonder about the same thing of my heart as well). Because I know, often after summer comes change. But if I am being honest, change happens all through the year and sometimes, it terrifies us. Some days just thinking about change wears us down and causes us to become overwhelmed.

Know this, though, beloved — no season we go through is without a purpose. Some seasons are meant for molding us and changing our heart. Some seasons are for challenging and teaching us. Some seasons are for humbling us and testing our faith. And some seasons, I believe, are for us to praise God in and for rejoicing, being blessed by His goodness. Whatever season you are in right now; whatever challenges and promises you are looking at — the Lord’s goodness will meet you there, too. His promises do not change just because the season changes.

10 Scriptures for times and seasons of change:

Deuteronomy 8:2 — “And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”

Psalm 34:4-5 — “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.”

Ephesians 1:18-19 — “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints”

Deuteronomy 31:8 — “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Jeremiah 24:6-7 — “For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Psalm 143:8 — “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.”

Mark 11:22-24 — “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Isaiah 54:10 — “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.”

Psalm 27:14 — “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”

Psalm 55:16-17 — “As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”
