Happy September, friends! I’m so glad you are here! I love September; it is one of my favorite months of the year. I just love the trees turning colors and those crisp mornings with warm afternoons. Those hot cups of tea at night (with many cups of coffee during the day, of course). All the soup and apple baked goods. Oh and all the clothes I finally get to start using again! Early fall might just be my favorite season.
Do you love fall? What is your favorite thing about the fall season?
I’m joining Anne in Residence (a day early) to share some current things in my life with you. I love this monthly series. I would love for you to join us and share a bit about your life as well! Below, you will find GraceFull Tuesday link-up, as always.
Currently: September 2018
Starting a running plan of sorts. This summer has been absolutely beautiful but it has also been busy. Now life is finally settling down a bit. Many of my friends have been talking about going running and there’s always been that bit of guilt in me. So I decided to start running twice a week, and I have done it for a few weeks now! I run around 3 miles so those are not the longest runs. But I am happy with it. And I am proud of myself for doing this.
Buying exercise clothes! That is honestly the key way for me to motivate myself to exercise, haha. If I exercise ten times in September, I promised myself I could buy myself Nike running tights. I’m looking forward to those!
Sharing all the Oswald Chambers quotes lately. What can I say, I just love My Utmost For His Highest. It is full of such good words.
Reading Holley Gerth’s new book, Hope Your Heart Needs. It is a devotional that will release on September 18. It is absolutely beautiful and wonderful, and I am loving every page so far. I will be writing a book review on it soon.
Recording the things I am thankful for these days. This week, for example: easy meetings at work. Having beautiful, creative friends. Getting to spend a Saturday with my church family. Seeing God work at our church. Fall mornings. Time spent with family.
