That is the thing, though. Every time, we have to choose to see when it is time to let go — of the winter, of our hurts, of our shame, of our past. Every time, we have to choose to come to the One who makes all things new, who gives us a new heart. We can hold on to the promise that Jesus makes us new. The old is gone and all things have become new.
We are stretched thin, but His hands are stretched wide. We are falling down with our weaknesses and shortcomings, but He is bending down to assure us of His mercy and grace. We are not giving up but rather giving in, surrendering to His will and His purposes.
There was only one rule as for who Jesus would raise from the dead. Only one rule — they had to be dead to be resurrected. But for Him to love you? Oh, nothing can come between. There is nothing that can separate us from His love; nothing in us that can bring us closer to His love. He is there, for us and with us at all times. He loves us because He is Love.
God is not punishing you with these hardships and trials. He is testing you, refining your faith, and He is using you for His Kingdom. At times it seems like you are going nowhere, and you cannot see the purpose for any of this. But know that He is using you for His Kingdom and for His purposes. You will get to see parts of His glory when the time is right.
