Summer Bucket List 2018

I am writing this two weeks into June, knowing that I am somewhat late with this already. It feels like that is how I work these days. You see, I started a new job last month. It is very challenging, often tiring, and a great job that I love. I also stepped into the position of the Children’s Ministry leader at our church this month. Children’s Ministry is a fast growing ministry at our church, and leading it takes time and wisdom. Also I joined the worship team, as God called me to do that. I also lead a couple other ministries.

On top of all these, I am moving at the end of June to a new rental. So whew. Life is quite a lot right now, to be honest. (And I would appreciate your prayers for staying sane!) In this whirlwind of a summer, I felt like I needed to make a summer bucket list. Basically just to make sure that I would also enjoy the summer. Because that is very important, too.

Now, I don’t always make bucket lists because I generally don’t follow through with them. Often I start out great but with time, I don’t mark down what I have done anymore. But a summer bucket list feels somehow different to me, as it serves the purposes of making sure I truly enjoy summer while working.

So here is my bucket list for the summer of 2018. It is short and sweet, so to say. But I’m looking forward to each of these!

  1. Hi Ronja,
Oh I love all the delicious and simple things you’ve planned for yourself this summer! I think you’ve inspired me to appreciate the small things – and maybe I already have one thing off my list — I went back to yoga class last night after a 3-yr hiatus and it felt so good!

I’ll be keeping you in my prayers during your move this summer while acclimating to your new job. I do admire you, though, in taking on leading roles in your church and I know God is working through all of your efforts! Sending much love — xoxo

    1. Thank you, Valerie! I definitely feel like simple is the way to go this summer… That yoga class sounds so amazing. I’m so glad you found it again! I hope that you’ll get to find those small things to enjoy this summer as well, Valerie! God bless you!

  2. Hi, I’m visiting from the dance with Jesus link up at #39,40,41. I admire your ability to take on so many responsibilities. I do well to balance two things at the same time lol 🙂 I hope that your move goes well and you are able to enjoy your summer. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I like your list. I don’t think you are late in planning this. It sounds like unpacking should be on your list. Summer just began yesterday. School is still in session for another four weeks so I don’t think of summer until school is out. I guess I have a few more weeks to think about what is on my bucket list.
