About Me

Hi! My name is Ronja (pronounce RON-yah). My name means “God is my joy” or “God’s joyful song” in Hebrew — both of which, I think, describe me so well as a person. I am a follower of Jesus, living in southern Finland. I am a Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) in the making, Lord willing, now working on my Master’s degree. I am fueled by coffee and grace every day.

I am a sinner saved by grace through faith. I come from a home of unbelievers and a past of depression and attempted suicide. Both of these make me appreciate the grace and joy found in Jesus, as I have found so much healing since I started walking with the Lord. I keep discovering God’s grace in the breaking and the mending, and I want to share this light with other beloved children of God.

I write because I believe words matter and even more so, that His Word matters. Abounding Grace is a space where I share about the grace and the hope we hold can hold on to while we walk through this life. This is where I share about my journey of learning to trust God and walking solely by His grace in this world.

  1. Wow, Ronja! This introduction of yourself moved me to tears. Thank you so much. I have been a Christian for nearly 43 years and am struggling with hurts, letting go, coming to the end of myself and more. Your description of “Abounding Grace” is where we should all be. God continue to bless you richly. I am here as a result of Holley’s Gerth recent post.

  2. I had to come find out more about you as I think today was the first time I visited your blog (from Essential Fridays). So happy to meet you! May God continue to bless you as you keep writing & sharing about your faith journey!
