Happy 2019, friends! It somehow feels unbelievable that we are here, in 2019. Because next year? It will be 2020, and I don’t know if I’m quite ready for that. Somehow the year 2020 was supposed to be so much further away still.

I have been on vacation for a week and a half now, which has been wonderful. The Christmas holidays were wonderful; we even got a white Christmas, which I was so blessed by. I got to spend the New Year with friends, so there was lots of food and laughter. Tomorrow I am going back to work. Therefore this work week is only two days long so it’s an easy start, thankfully so.

Today I’m joining Anne in Residence to share a few things I’m currently up to this month. Maybe consider joining us as well? I find these posts so fun to read!

Choosing to set aside time for the things I love this year. Mostly, I’m choosing to read more and to learn a new skill: hand lettering & brush lettering. Life is often so busy between all the responsibilities, so I know I need to choose to set aside time for things I want to do.

Tidying up and organizing my office right now. The office has so far basically been a room where I have just dumped everything because life has been busy. But over the holidays (because I don’t exactly know how to relax), I suddenly started to organize the office. After moving all the furniture, the office became so much better.

Resolving to do less this year. This year I decided to make some resolutions, which is new to me. Mainly because resolutions tend to freak me out. I know I’m not the best at following through a resolution the whole year, and it just adds so much pressure and stress to a perfectionist like me. But as I ways praying in the last days of last year, I felt differently about them.

Exploring different travel destinations right now, as it’s been a while since I last traveled anywhere. The last few years, I have traveled abroad several times a year — so naturally I’m already looking for the next destination. Living in Europe is great for that, as there are several countries that are just a few hours away here. That means that traveling to another country for, for example, a long weekend is possible and pretty easy.

Refreshing the content of this blog a little bit this year. Last year, I took the step and started up the GraceFull Tuesday Link-Up. This year, I’m thinking about adding more personal posts here. Basically I’m thinking about adding some lifestyle posts into the mix as well. Just to write something else as well, and feel less pressured in some ways.

  2. I enjoyed reading about what you’re up to, Ronja, especially after reading about your 2019 goal of doing less. 🙂
It’s so exciting that you get to travel to a new country just a couple hours away. I’ll look forward to reading more as you create more personal posts.
